Sticks & Stones Project

While teaching at Weber State University I collaborated on a multi-university project called Sticks & Stones. The project included faculty and students from Weber State University in Utah, University of Alabama, Northeastern University and San Francisco State University. Students from all four programs examined the power of text and imagery as they explored labeling and stereotyping one another. After exchanging art and information remotely, they all met in California where they toured the Museum of Tolerance and worked with an expert on race relations and cultural U.S. History. The final exhibit of the process was installed at the Civil Rights Institute in Birmingham, Alabama. Below are photos from the exhibition and catalog.
